Q: What is Rapid VIP?
A: It is a fast-paced program targeting quick wins to feed your innovation pipeline. The core activity is performed as an intensive and collaborative two-day work session with focused and visual outputs. It is designed to accelerate organic growth under tight timeframes and budgetary constraints.
Q: How does it work?
A: Our design strategists will guide you through 4 structured steps:
Inform: Together, we will organize the program. The goal, dates, cross-functional team members and location for a collaborative work session will be identified. We will then communicate the plan, our mission and background materials in an online kickoff with the team.
Devise: Next, we will participate together in a two-day creative workshop. We will unpack the opportunity spaces, capture valuable insights and create a wide set of balanced ideas in the process. The team will also prioritize the ideas before the workshop concludes.
Engage: Through a follow-up discussion online, we will sort the ideas and select the best candidates for advancement. Typically, over 50+ ideas from the in-depth workshop are funneled into the best 10 to 15 prospects.
Advance: Our experienced designers then create a vision sketch to visually represent each of the selected ideas. This approach provides you with tangible and actionable deliverables to be taken into your innovation pipeline and further into the New Product Development Process.
Q: How long does it take?
A: On average, a Rapid Visual Ideation Program is completed in 4 to 6 weeks from start to finish.
Q: How do you define an idea?
A: An idea is the embodiment of an opportunity to grow your business. It can be a new product, an exciting technology, a game-changing service, an insightful way to streamline operations, or a go-to-market strategy. All of these approaches can be captured and visualized in creative ways.
Q: Why do I need visuals?
A: It is our experience that companies have a better chance of getting new ideas to stick if they have a visual representation to put in front of stakeholders in a meaningful way. The picture really is worth a thousand words. Converting words and lists into visuals makes it much easier to build support for an idea.
Q: What do the visuals look like?
A: The visuals are customized to your specific need. If the idea is product-centric, then an image of the envisioned product in its proper use state will be cast. If the idea is more service-based, the visuals may represent a storyboard or a process flow diagram of the approach. Example visuals.
Q: Who should attend the session?
A: IN2 brings two design strategists. From your company, we will help you pick a team with representatives from as many groups and disciplines as possible, including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Financing, Design, Engineering, R&D, and more.
Note: We usually recommend approximately 10 to 12 participants, although larger or smaller groups also fit this format well. Including leadership in the workshop is also very beneficial.
Additionally, in some of our sessions we bring in an outside expert - someone who knows about your field or a relevant technology. Having an expert in the room often contributes very meaningfully to the conversation (additional cost will apply).
Q: Where are Rapid VIP workshops held?
A: To maximize output, we strongly recommend holding Rapid VIP workshop sessions at an off-site location away from your primary office. Either you can choose a venue, or we are happy to help set up the session (additional cost will apply).
Q: What is not a part of Rapid VIP?
A: There is no substitute for the insights gained from in-depth, observational research. However, we also realize the pressure you face to organically grow the business on a tight timeframe and financial budget. While it is not a deep research dive, Rapid VIP is a proven way to advance innovation.
Q: Who from IN2 Innovation will participate in the Rapid VIP?
A: Multiple members of IN2 Innovation will participate throughout the program. Brian Roderman, Chief Innovation Officer of IN2 Innovation is your host. Brian has 25+ years of design innovation consulting experience. He has hosted creative sessions around the globe. Check out Brian’s bio on LinkedIn.

We will even capture the meeting notes so the team can remain fully engaged.
